General information
We process personal data only where necessary to provide a functional website, respond to enquiries, or perform pre-contractual and contractual measures. Personal data means any information that can be used to identify you personally.
Hosting and server log files
When you access the website, your browser transmits technically necessary information to the web server. This may include your IP address, access date and time, requested file, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for the secure and reliable operation of the website. Our legitimate interest is its technical functionality and security. Log data is deleted once no longer required for these purposes unless retention is necessary for security or legal reasons.
Cookies and language preference
The website uses only technically necessary cookies. The “site_lang” cookie stores your selected language for up to one year. The contact form may use a PHP session cookie, primarily to protect against abusive submissions; it normally expires at the end of the browser session. The legal basis is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG, with subsequent processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We currently use no tracking, analytics or marketing cookies.
Contact by form, email or telephone
When you contact us, we process the information you provide, particularly your name, contact details, subject, message and, where supplied, telephone number. Processing for contractual enquiries is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise it is based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons require further storage. Contract and billing records are retained for the applicable statutory periods.
Protection of the contact form
To prevent automated or abusive submissions, we use a CSRF security token, a hidden verification field, a minimum completion time and a temporary request limit. For rate limiting, a non-readable checksum derived from the IP address is stored temporarily on the server together with timestamps. During checks, entries are limited to a maximum period of 15 minutes. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the security and availability of the form.
Remote support and IT services
Remote support is provided only after prior agreement and active approval by the customer. Screen content, system information and personal data may become visible for technical reasons. We use this information solely to provide the requested support. We use Splashtop SOS for remote support. The external website my.splashtop.eu is contacted only when you click the download link on our remote-support page, at which point technical connection data may be sent to Splashtop. The remote session starts only after you open the software and provide the displayed session details.
Recipients and processors
Personal data is disclosed only to parties that need it for the purposes described above. These may include hosting, IT and email providers acting as processors where required. Further disclosure takes place only where necessary to perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, or where you have consented.
No analytics or embedded third-party content
We currently use no web analytics or advertising services. No maps, videos, social-media plugins or external fonts are embedded that transmit data to third parties merely when a page is viewed. External websites are opened only when you actively click the relevant link.
SSL/TLS encryption
The production website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser. Email may still involve security risks; please do not send particularly confidential information by unencrypted email.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details above.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for our registered location is, in particular, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate. Information and complaint options are available at www.datenschutz.rlp.de.
Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the website, the services used or legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the applicable version.
